How to apply:

To apply for the undergraduate program applicants have to apply through a pre-paid “Teletalk” mobile phone.

  1. At 1st go to the message option of your “Teletalk” mobile phone.

 

Then type NSTU

Give a space and type the first three digits of the name of the educational board of HSC

Give space and type HSC roll number, give space and type passing year of HSC

Give space and type the first three digits of the name of the educational board of SSC

Give space and type SSC roll number, give space and type passing year of SSC and

At last give another space and type B (as group B contains ‘pharmacy’ in NSTU admission test system).

Send the message to 16222.

Example:

NSTU<space>COM<space>123456<space>2014<space>COM<space>123456<space>2012<space>B

This example is for Comilla Board. Here applicants have to put their own HSC & SSC roll numbers in place of 123456.

For different boards the codes are Comilla (COM), Sylhet (SYL), Barisal (BAR), Chittagong (CHI), Dhaka (DHA), Dinajpur (DIN), Jessore (JES), Rajshahi (RAJ) and Madrasa (MAD).

 

  1. If all the above information is correct then the applicant will receive a SMS containing his/her name, desired group, admission fee & a pin number and the applicant will be asked to confirm these. To confirm the information the applicant will have to SMS again to 16222. For confirmation please type:

 

NSTU<space>YES<space>PIN Number<space>Any Contact Mobile no

 Then send the message to 16222.

 N.B: The application fee will be charged only when the applicant send the confirmation SMS, otherwise no application fee will be charged.

 

  1. If there is sufficient balance in the mobile account of the applicant then the application fee will be charged and the applicant will receive a confirmation SMS regarding the admission roll no.

 

  1. The application procedure is same as above for O/A level students. In this case applicants have to write GCE in place of education board

 

Example:

NSTU<space>GCE<space>123456<space>2012<space>A

Here applicants have to put their own candidate number of A level examination in place of 123456.

 

  1. Regarding the admission in QUOTA (5% of total seats):

 

Applicants wish to apply in the following QUOTA has to apply according to aforementioned procedure.

Freedom Fighter Quota (FFQ), Tribal Quota (TQ)

Example:

Admission Requirements:

  1. Students those who have passed their SSC/Equivalent examination in 2011/2012 and HSC/Equivalent examination in 2013/2014 from Science division and from Secondary & Higher Secondary / Madrasha education board can apply for the admission examination. To qualify for the admission examination an applicant must have GPA 3.5 in SSC/Equivalent examination and GPA 3.0 with additional/optional subject in HSC/Equivalent examination and a total GPA of 6.5. If any student has a GPA below than C in any subject in HSC/Equivalent examination his/her application will not be considered.
  • Students of ‘O’ level must pass a total of 5 subjects with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology and must pass any of the two subjects from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology in their ‘A’ level examination. If any student has a GPA below than C in any subject of ‘A’ level examination his/her application will not be considered.

 

  1. Those who have passed SSC / Equivalent examination / ‘A’ level examination before 2011 cannot apply for the admission examination.

 

  1. An applicant must have Mathematics in his/her HSC examination.

 

  1. International students can apply directly; but they will be considered for admission after the analysis and approval of the provided certificates by the University Equivalence Committee.

 

 

Application fee:

The application fee for the admission examination is degree course is 500 BDT.
